Day 1 (Wednesday, 25 March) UK/ Beijing
AM: Arrive at Beijing airport. PM: Fly to Changsha, capital city of Hunan Province. Be met and transferred to the hotel. Adjust yourself rest of the day.
Day 2 (Thursay, 26 March) Changsha (more...) (B, L, D) - Grand Sun City Hotel
AM: Be free on your own and join the rest of the group.
PM: Visit Tianxin Tower built in the Ming Dynasty, Baisha Well, Martyr Park, and enjoy a free walk on Huang Xing Street. Enjoy dinner of Tujia people's cuisine.
Day 3 (Friday, 27 March) Changsha/ Zhangjiajie (ex Dayong) (B, L, D) - Genli International Hotel(VIP)
AM: Visit Yuelu Academy of Classical Learning established in the Northern Song Dynasty and Hunan Provincial Museum with exhibition of relics excavated from tombs of the West Han Dynasty(202BC-8AD) over two thousand years ago.
PM: Bus to Zhangjiajie famous for the scenery of red color sandstone formation in northwest Hunan.
Day 4 (Saturday, 28 March) Zhangjiajie (more...) (B, L, D)
AM: Visit Huangshi Zhai scenic area by cable car.
PM: Enjoy the tranquil of the Golden Whip Stream valley. Enjoy tile style dinner.
Day 5 (Sunday, 29 March) Zhangjiajie/ Fenghuang (B, L, D) - Fenghuang Business Hotel
AM: Enjoy the scenery of Tianzi Mountain by cable car.
PM: Visit Ten-Li Natural Art Gallery by mini train and then bus to Fenghuang. Enjoy dinner with Miao people's cuisine.
Day 6 (Monday, 30 March) Fenghuang (more...) (B, L D)
AM: Visit Shen Congwen's residence, Xiong Xilin's residence, stilted houses of the Miao people, Yang Family Clan Temple and northern Gate Tower.
PM: Enjoy the process of Wax Dying by Xiong's Family and the one of jinger sugar making. Visit Shawang scenic area and Wing and Rain Bridge etc.
Day 7 (Tuesday, 31 March) Fenghuang/ Tongren (more...) / Guiyang (more...) (B,L,D) - Ramada Plaza Hotel
AM: morning transfer to Tongren to catch your flight to Guiyang.
PM: City tour, Jiaxiu pavilion-the landmark building of Guiyang, Hongfu Buddhist monastery located on top of Qianling Mountain which has a history of more than 300 years
Day 8 (Wednesday, 1 April) Guiyang/ Huangguoshu (more...) / Guiyang(B,L,D)
AM: morning 2.5 hour's coach to Huangguoshu. En route, stop at Jiuxi or Jichang to visit a local LaoHan(Old-Han Chinese) village best known for their Ground Opera or Dixi. The performers will put wooden mask on their forehead to ensure their voice could be heard by the audience. Women's traditional costumes come with long blue robes and white or black turban. Family visit will be arranged to appreciate their typical stone architecture.
PM: explore the largest waterfall in China - Huangguoshu, which also ranks the first in Asia. Bus back to Guiyang.
Day 9 (Thursday, 2 April) Guiyang/ Kaili (more...) (B,L,D) - Grand Dragon Hotel
AM: morning 2.5 hours' coach to Kaili - the capital city of Guizhou southeast autonomous prefecture of Miao & Dong people. Upon arrival, visit Kaili folk museum to have an overview of the ethnic groups in Guizhou.
PM: 1 hour's coach to Shiqiao Miao village to see their traditional way of making paper from the tree bark. Then explore Qingman Miao village by visiting the local families. A welcome ceremony will be arranged. Bus back to Kaili later in the afternoon. Dinner with Miao people's traditional cuisine: sour soup fish in hotpot.
Day 10 (Friday, 3 April) Kaili/(1.5hr) Leishan/(3hr) Rongjiang (BLD) Rongjiang Hotel(local best)
AM: visit Jidao long-skirt Miao village. A performance will be arranged. You will be greeted into the village by drinking the block-way wine. You will see have a chance to see their traditional way of weaving and spinning.
PM: visit Datang short-skirt Miao village. Leigong Mountain noted as the sacred mountain of Miao people. En route, stop at Kaitun to view its gorgeous terraced paddy fields. Some trekking is needed.
Day 11 (Saturday, 4 April) Rongjiang/(1.5hr) Congjiang/(2hr) Zhaoxing (more...) (BLD) Zhaoxing Hotel ( VIP)
AM: explore Basha Miao village noted for men's unique hair dresses and women's shining fabric from egg-white. Family visit will be arranged.
PM: explore Zhaoxing-the largest Dong people's village in China with more than 800 household and a population of 4000. It owns five drum towers symbolizing five different family clans.
Day 12 (Sunday, 5 April) Zhaoxing/(4.5hr) Sanjiang (B, L) - Sanjiang Hotel
AM: early morning to have a panorama view of Zhaoxing. Then coach to Sanjiang. En route, visit Tang'an Dong village noted as the first ecological museum of Dong people.
PM: upon arrival at Sanjiang, visit Chengyang Wind & Rain Bridge noted for being the largest one in China.
Day 13 (Monday, 6 April) Sanjiang/ Longsheng(B, L, D) Pan'An Guest House
AM: Coach to Longsheng, a scenic area known for rice paddy fields on mountain sides cultivated by the Zhuang and Yao minority groups.
PM: Visit rice paddy fields and villages on the mountain.
Day 14 (Tuesday, 7 April) Longsheng/ Guilin (B, L, D) - Universal Hotel
AM: Free walk around by yourself and enjoy the magnificent view of surrounding area.
PM: Coach to Guilin.
Day 15 (Wednesday, 8 April) Guilin/ Beijing(B) - Sino-Swiss Hotel
AM: Free arrangement by yourself.
PM: Fly to Beijing and be transferred to the hotel by hotel shuttle bus
Day 16 (Thursday, 9 April) Beijing/UK
Be transferred to the airport by the hotel bus and fly back to UK
